Warm

The warmth, palpable

The sky; tangibly blue

Such contrasting faults

So at odds

Like two worlds

Claiming each other

We still have green

Luscious, preciously useful

Beautiful Verde

Photosensitizing

The beauty that will save us

The beauty that rises from

Dark, fertile earthen soil

To claim that palpably warm

Blue sky

Sailing

I am at once too much
And not enough
I feel everything around me
And miss the most obvious event
My queen is forever being taken
Much too early in the game
I am my own life boat
Simultaneously sinking
And saving the vessel
To which I desperately cling
Joyous, in silent awe of life
Then desperately wrenched in the agony
That is our world
I do not overexcite
Nor show how low
This sinking ship will dip
Before I reclaim its control
A poise as much a façade
As it is a reality
This game of Yin vs. Yang
Is mere illusion
But a simplified version
Of grey matter vs. red muscle
And the paths wrought to connect them
